Gymea Bay Public School has classes from 1st to 6th class, the nearest high school being Kirrawee High. Gymea Bay adjoins, Yowie Bay, Miranda, Gymea, Gray's Point, Kirrawee and the Port Hacking River. Public Access to the River can be gained either through Marina Crescent Reserve or Gymea Bay Baths.
